What is Email Forwarding? 

Email forwarding refers to the operation of re-sending an email message delivered to one email address to one or more different email addresses. Email auto-forwarding automatically directs incoming messages to alternate email addresses. 

Does UF Allow Auto-Forwarding of Emails? 

In accordance with University of Florida electronic mail policy, only to the following approved UF-affiliated domains and specific* cloud-hosted service providers utilized by University of Florida business: 

  • *.ufl.edu (i.e., @shands.ufl.edu, @jax.ufl.edu, etc.) 
  • flvc.org 
  • ba.shands.org 
  • orlandohealth.com 
  • floridaproton.org 
  • Centflhealth.org

How do I Enable Email Auto-Forwarding on an Approved UF Mailbox?

Contact your local IT support and let them know you need to forward your UF email to another address. 

Note: Auto-forwarded emails configured to deliver-to non-approved domains will, without notification, not be delivered.
